Construction coordinated around inspection, evidence and compliant details
Building Regulations Contractor London

North Star Building Solutions delivers London residential projects around the approved design and Building Regulations inspection plan, coordinating structure, fire safety, energy, ventilation, drainage and services before work is concealed.
Every scope is reviewed against the actual property, available design information and agreed construction responsibilities before work begins.
Approval information has to become installed evidence
Building Regulations set functional requirements across structure, fire safety, ventilation, sanitation, drainage, energy, access, electrical safety and other matters. The relevant Approved Documents guide common approaches, but the project design and Building Control body determine the evidence needed for the actual work.
Planning permission is separate from Building Regulations. Party Wall procedures, freeholder consent, utility approvals and specialist certification may also be required. We help coordinate the construction information and inspection stages within the agreed contractor scope.
Structure
Foundations, bearings, steel, masonry, floors and roofs are built to the engineer’s information and left accessible for required checks.
Fire safety
Escape routes, doors, detection, linings, cavity barriers, structural protection and service penetrations are coordinated as a complete strategy.
Energy and fabric
Insulation continuity, thermal bridges, windows, airtightness and heating design are checked at junctions before finishes hide them.
Ventilation and moisture
Extract rates, background ventilation, roof ventilation, damp protection and condensation risk are considered with the intended occupancy.
Drainage and sanitation
Falls, pipe sizes, access, traps, ventilation, testing and connections are installed to the approved arrangement and site conditions.
Electrical and services certification
Notifiable electrical work, gas work and commissioned systems are completed by appropriately registered or competent specialists where required.
Genuine project evidence
These genuine images show the concealed stages—structure, first fix and fit-out—where Building Regulations evidence is usually won or lost. These photographs come from the North Star project archive. They demonstrate relevant construction stages but do not identify a client or claim that every image is from one named London address.

Inspections are planned before the work is covered
We review the appointed Building Control inspection plan and coordinate notice for relevant stages. Photographs, delivery information, test results and specialist certificates are gathered for the agreed scope rather than reconstructed at the end.
If a drawing conflicts with the existing building or installed product, the issue is referred to the appropriate designer or Building Control contact. Site convenience is not treated as permission to change a compliance-critical detail.

Frequently asked questions
Does the contractor provide Building Regulations approval?
Approval and inspections are handled by the appointed Building Control body. The contractor builds to the coordinated information and supports inspection and evidence requirements.
Is planning permission the same thing?
No. Planning controls development and appearance; Building Regulations address technical performance and safety. A project may need one, both or neither depending on scope.
Who supplies structural calculations?
An appointed structural engineer prepares the relevant design and calculations. We coordinate that information with the site sequence and inspections.
What happens if work is covered before inspection?
Building Control may require photographs, other evidence or opening-up. The better approach is to plan hold points so required checks happen while work is accessible.
Do you coordinate completion certificates?
We support the agreed inspection, testing and document process, but the Building Control body decides whether to issue its completion certificate.
